Job description

About the roleEmbark on a transformative journey as a Data Analyst at Hokodo!  In this role, you will play a pivotal part in leveraging data to optimise processes and drive growth within the fintech industry and at Hokodo.

As a Data Analyst, your primary focus will be on scaling our operations and enhancing efficiency through insightful data analysis and automation. Collaborating across various departments, including collections, payment ops, customer ops, and credit, you will apply your analytical prowess to uncover opportunities for data-driven improvements. By creating data visualisations and automating workflows, you'll contribute to streamlining operations and positioning Hokodo for continued success.

Location We would like you to work from our office in Vilnius two days per week, joining our team of dedicated professionals and making your mark on the world of B2B e-commerce.

About HokodoWe’re an international and diverse team, based in London, Vilnius and Paris, working to modernise B2B payments.

  • Our B2B Buy Now, Pay Later solution enables merchants to offer credit terms to their business customers instantly, resulting in a 40% average increase in revenue for integrated merchants.

  • We are scaling rapidly across Western Europe, with a list of stellar clients and have raised a total of over $50 million to support our mission of enabling 1 million businesses to access a better way to pay by 2025.

  • Join us in our efforts, as we have already made good progress with 50,000+ businesses regularly using Hokodo, but need your support to take us to the next level!

What you’ll be doing - If you get excited by the following, this is the role for you.

  • The honest answer is a little bit of everything when it comes to data! We are 100% in the cloud using Redshift, dbt, and Looker as the main tools with gitLab for version control.

  • We partner with pretty much every team across the organisation, you’ll be working with them to help answer questions, and solve problems with data. You will also be a key part of our “Hit Squads”, representing data in cross-functional teams who focus on solving the biggest challenges we face.

  • We own the data from once it hits our warehouse in its raw form right through to how it is consumed. This means you will be working to build on our transformation layer to create what you need for analysis and reporting.

  • Our self-serve ambitions mean that you’ll need to be a go-to person for data, and help to develop the data literacy of everyone at Hokodo.

Who we’re looking for - At Hokodo, we prioritise hiring individuals who share our mission and values, and possess the right attitudes and behaviours for success. While some of the listed requirements may be important, don't worry if you don't meet all of them, we’d still like to hear from you.

  • You have at least 3 years of experience working in data.

  • At Hokodo we are full-stack analysts and you are too, so you will have a track record of solving business problems, using the right tool for the right job and delivering value from data.

  • SQL is at the heart of everything we do in the data stack, so this is the main thing we’re looking for. If you are comfortable with window functions, CTEs then you are probably at the right level.

  • Everyone at Hokodo speaks English, so you will need to be fluent. We are a multi-national team who operate across Europe so If you speak another language as well then bonus points

Nice to have

  • Analytics Engineering is a big part of what we do, and while having direct experience of using dbt is not essential, you’re going to need to be interested in that part of the data lifecycle and getting hands on with it.

  • If you have used Looker in the past, then great! But having at least one BI tool under your belt would be beneficial.

  • We build bespoke web applications to support our customers and internal stakeholders, so having a bit of experience with Python would be helpful.

Interview Process

  • Intro, company fit and run through career history with the Talent team - 30-45 minutes - Video Call

  • Technical, competency and team fit interview with the Hiring Manager - 45 minutes - Video Call

  • Case Study - Prepare at home and present your findings to the Hiring Manager and a member of the team over a Video Call - 60 minutes
