As the Head of People at Malou, you will be instrumental in overseeing all aspects of our people strategy: from hiring, onboarding, development, retention, to offboarding. Reporting directly to Louiza, the CEO, you will also be a key member of Malou’s council committee.

Malou aims to be at the forefront of HR innovation, having invested significantly in creating a robust feedback culture, establishing a transparent salary and evolution grid, and organizing unique events to enhance our strategic approach. We pride ourselves on offering salaries within the top 25% of the Foodtech industry, aspiring to set the benchmark for HR culture and standards.

This hands-on leadership role demands an executive who not only possesses a visionary outlook and strong analytical skills but also shows a genuine desire to make a lasting impact.

1/ Hiring Top Talents

  • Conduct an audit of our current hiring mechanisms and develop new strategies tailored to our strategic sectors.

  • Enhance our employer brand to attract top talent effectively.

  • Streamline our recruitment processes to improve speed, efficiency, and precision.

  • Foster relationships with educational institutions, professional forums, and other relevant entities.

  • Optimize our onboarding process to ensure a seamless transition for new hires.

  • Innovate and implement recruitment strategies to attract top talents, including hiring our first international profiles.

2/ Team Training and Development

  • Overhaul our employee development programs to support professional growth, aiming to sustain our strong retention rate (less than 4% in 2023).

  • Implement performance management processes that accurately assess and support employee progress.

  • Develop specific career paths for every role at Malou, providing clear growth trajectories for our employees.

  • Enhance our training program to include mandatory, optional, and team-specific courses, thereby fostering a comprehensive learning environment.

  • Manage onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure they are as efficient and positive as possible.

  • Refine progression rules, variable compensation, bonuses, and other incentives to motivate employees and achieve business goals.

3/ People Happiness

  • Manage day-to-day matters : legal,

  • Promote a positive and inclusive company culture that aligns with Malou’s values.

  • Address employee concerns and issues, ensuring their well-being and satisfaction.

  • Oversee the implementation of initiatives, team-building activities, perks, and other actions that contribute to the professional and personal growth of Malouers.

  • Manage the day-to-day HR operations including legal issues, contracts, salary payments, HR accounting, special requests, and HR tools, ensuring smooth and efficient HR processes.

4/ Team Management

  • Scale the HR function by hiring and managing a team capable of supporting all the above areas (currently includes one experienced HR manager).

  • Structure, recruit, and train the People team in line with Malou’s growth.

  • Participate in Malou’s executive committee to align people-related strategies with the company’s business goals, growth, and other key areas.


Profil recherché

  • A minimum of 7 years of proven experience in HR roles within VC-backed startups or top consulting firms, with a deep passion for HR.

  • Exceptional adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced environment.

  • A proactive change agent who challenges the status quo and drives impactful changes.

  • Comprehensive knowledge across a broad spectrum of HR disciplines, including recruitment, payroll, legal issues, training, employer branding, and more.

  • Outstanding communication skills, capable of uniting the team around HR initiatives and fostering a supportive work culture.

  • An analytical and pragmatic mindset, comfortable with data-driven decision-making and possessing a solid understanding of business fundamentals.
